Double Jump...
Double
the challenge. The
double and triple jumps are obstacles that most people add to
their course later on, but more often than not, they are jump that many dogs
stumble over in an agility trial! The challenge is for your dog to clear
the jump by not only jumping high, but long.
What you see in the pictures is a
Double Jump set in two different arrangements. Either way is
acceptable. They include 4 @ 48" bars that are adjustable for any size
dog. The bars rest on 4 pairs of clip-on jump cups that slide up and down on the
vertical poles (for height adjustment). Also, the bars adjust
in
width as well. This is a little complicated, and hard to explain without
the instruction sheet (which will visually show you), but the 2 *vertical* bars you see
inside the square side-frames *slide* back and forth horizontally so you can
space your bars apart as wide or as narrow as they need to be for your size
dog. In other words, the smaller the dog, the closer the bars go AND the
lower they go. Visa versa for larger dogs.
Another nice feature of this jump is the fixed
bar along the ground (it can be seen in the picture on the far bottom of the
jump). This keeps the two sides at a fixed distance apart, so that it is easier
to keep the bars from falling off, and it is easier to move the whole obstacle
around without having to take the bars off.
