A popular method of training contacts is to use a reinforcing "Contact Zoner". Simply place the zoner at the bottom of the obstacle. When your dog goes through and under it, treat him. As your dog begins to consistently exit properly you can remove the zoner. If he ever misses a contact again, simply bring it back as a gentle reminder. Our Contact Zoner is a "universal design", meaning it adjusts in width to accommodate either the wider a-frame or the more narrow teeter or dogwalk plank. Its 31" height allows bigger dogs to run under it without hitting their heads, but it still trains smaller dogs since the primary reinforcement are the side bars. It features long feet to prevent it from tipping over. If desired, the feet can be filled with sand or gravel for extra weight. As with all our plastic equipment, the Zoner is made of sturdy UV resistant (furniture-grade) piping.
