DogWalks
General Description: The
DogWalk is called a "Contact Obstacle" (along with the Teeters,
A-frame, and Pause Table) because your dog is
required to touch the yellow "contact zones" with its paws. It
is the second largest of the obstacles, and contains 3 non-slip
planks attached by hinges, set on very sturdy bases. The height is
set the same in trials, no matter what size dog uses it. It is an
obstacle common to all agility organizations and in all levels of
agility. It requires a level of balance and confidence in your dog.
When training the
Dog Walk, some common
call words to use are: Walk it, Plank, Dogwalk, walk on (more
call names)
